Aleksander Lekan, MD

Aleksander Lekan, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician at The Heart Center of the Oranges, PA, which has offices in West Orange, East Orange, South Orange, Maplewood, Newark, and Bloomfield, New Jersey.

Dr. Lekan studied at the Medical University of Lublin in Poland, earning his medical degree. He completed a postgraduate internship at Public University Hospital No. 1, Lublin, before moving to the United States and enrolling in the internal medicine program at Atlantic City Medical Center in New Jersey. 

Dr. Lekan also completed an internal medicine residency at the State University of New York, Stony Brook. He received training in all aspects of internal medicine, including preventive care, primary care, and the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses. 

Dr. Lekan is friendly and knowledgeable. He never rushes appointments and takes the time to understand each person’s concerns and needs. Dr. Lekan explains diagnoses and treatment options in-depth and develops personalized care plans that promote optimal health and well-being. 

Dr. Lekan is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and holds a medical license in New Jersey and New York. He welcomes new patients to The Heart Center of the Oranges, PA, and looks forward to establishing a supportive relationship.
