Catalino De La Cruz, Jr., MD, FACC, is a double-board-certified internal medicine physician and cardiologist at The Heart Center of the Oranges, PA, who sees patients at the Bloomfield, New Jersey, office on Bloomfield Avenue. The Heart Center of the Oranges, PA, also has locations in West Orange, East Orange, South Orange, Maplewood, and Newark, New Jersey.
Dr. De La Cruz grew up in the Philippines. He studied at the College of Medicine, University of the Philippines Manila, earning his medical degree. After graduation, Dr. De La Cruz completed an internal medicine internship and an internal medicine residency at the Philippine General Hospital, also in Manila.
He moved to the United States in 1971. Upon arrival, he completed a second internal medicine residency at Martland Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey, an affiliate of the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (CMDNJ).
Before entering private practice, Dr. De La Cruz completed a cardiology fellowship at Martland Medical Center, receiving extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease.
Dr. De La Cruz is a fellow of the American Board of Cardiology (FACC) and is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. He’s also a member of the American Society of Echocardiography and the American College of Cardiology.
At The Heart Center of the Oranges, PA, Dr. De La Cruz has a special interest in cardiovascular problems, including high blood pressure (hypertension), high cholesterol, and heart disease.
When he isn’t meeting with patients at The Heart Center of the Oranges, PA, Dr. De La Cruz serves as an attending physician in internal medicine at several hospitals throughout Northern New Jersey. He welcomes new and returning patients to the office in Bloomfield, New Jersey.
