Dr. Myriam Sterlin is a double-board-certified internal medicine and infectious disease physician at The Heart Center of the Oranges, PA, who sees patients at the West Orange, Maplewood, and South Orange offices.
Dr. Sterlin studied at Université d'État d'Haïti, Faculté de Médecine et de Pharmacie in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, earning her medical degree. After graduation, she completed two internal medicine residencies: the first at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and the second at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), both in Newark, New Jersey. Dr. Sterlin also completed an infectious disease fellowship at UMDNJ.
Dr. Sterlin diagnoses and treats acute and chronic health problems, but she has a special interest in allied illnesses and infectious diseases. Dr. Sterlin is especially knowledgeable in the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
Dr. Sterlin is board-certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She’s also a member of the American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM) and the Association of Haitian Physicians Abroad.
At The Heart Center of the Oranges, PA, Dr. Sterlin loves getting to know her patients. She speaks four languages fluently ––English, French, Creole, and Spanish ––– allowing her to confidently communicate across several different cultures.
