Burget Cort, NP, RN, is an experienced nurse practitioner providing health care to patients at The Heart Center of the Oranges, PA. The practice has convenient locations in West Orange, East Orange, South Orange, Maplewood, Newark, and Bloomfield, New Jersey.
Burget studied at Utica College in Utica, New York, earning her undergraduate degree in nursing. She then enrolled at Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and obtained her Master of Science in Acute Care Nursing.
After graduation, Burget began her career, serving a wide range of patients as a medical surgery psychiatric nurse and a maternity pediatric nurse at two practices in Paducah, Kentucky. In 2008, she returned to the Northeast and has been working as a registered nurse ever since.
Burget provides preventive and primary care to adults, but she has a special interest in psychiatric care and video electroencephalogram (EEG) monitoring. Her friendly demeanor and compassionate bedside manner make her a patient favorite.
Burget is certified in basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) by the American Heart Association. Outside of work, she enjoys sharing her knowledge with others and provides evidence-based health education to nursing students.
