Cynthia Mathieu, MSN, APN, AGNP-C, is an adult gerontology nurse practitioner at The Heart Center of the Oranges, PA, with offices Maplewood and West Orange.
Cynthia studied at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She then completed a Master of Science in nursing leadership at Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey, and a Post-Master of Science in Nursing at South University in Savannah, Georgia.
Since starting her career, Cynthia has served in various positions, including registered nurse, quality and patient safety nurse manager, and nurse care manager.
As a certified gerontology nurse practitioner, Cynthia provides a wide range of senior care services at The Heart Center of the Oranges, PA. She has special interests in pain management and women’s health. Her extensive training in all aspects of geriatrics and internal medicine makes her specially equipped to handle even the most complex cases. She’s also an expert in venipuncture.
Cynthia has a gerontology certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She’s also certified in basic life support (BLS) by the American Heart Association.
Cynthia speaks French and Creole fluently and welcomes patients to The Heart Center of the Oranges, PA.
