Zareh Ekmekjian, MD

Zareh Ekmekjian, MD, is an internist at The Heart Center of the Oranges, PA, serving individuals and families in West Orange, East Orange, South Orange, Maplewood, Newark, Belleville, and Bloomfield, New Jersey.

Dr. Ekmekjian studied at the Lebanese American University in Beirut, Lebanon, graduating with honors with his bachelor’s in biology. He pursued his medical education at the LAU Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine in Blat, Lebanon.

His passion for patient care took him to the New York Medical College at St Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey, where he completed his ACGME residency in internal medicine and further honed his skills. He has been published in peer-reviewed articles and presented on vital research topics, particularly heart and lung health.

To better serve his patients, Dr. Ekmekjian is proficient in English, Arabic, Armenian, and French. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling and finding new adventures in the great outdoors.
