Nivia Phillips, APN

Nivia Rowe, RN, MSN, ANP-C, is a certified adult nurse practitioner at The Heart Center of the Oranges, PA, providing high-quality internal medicine services to adults. Patients can access care at the practice’s convenient locations in West Orange, East Orange, South Orange, Maplewood, Newark, and Bloomfield, New Jersey.

Nivia brings decades of nursing experience to the practice. She studied at Kean University in Union, New Jersey, obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After graduation, Nivia enrolled at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in Newark, earning her Master of Science in Nursing. 

She has served in various positions since beginning her nursing career, including adult nurse practitioner, oncology outreach nurse, and community health nurse. These experiences exposed her to all aspects of internal and family medicine, allowing her to establish a large knowledge base. 

Nivia is certified in adult nursing by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She’s also a member of the New Jersey State Nurses Association, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau International, an honor society of nurses.

She speaks English and Spanish fluently. At The Heart Center of the Oranges, PA, she provides full-service internal medicine, from treating acute and chronic health problems to health counseling and preventive care.
